Like, (not giving anything away), I wanted to give this book a slow clap when I got to the spicy scenes because she just GETS IT. And, the monster world created is chef’s kiss. I was drawn in by the worldbuilding happening in such a small space and am excited for more Second Circle novellas. I devoured this in one sitting but would have eagerly read a much longer story with these characters.
